What is a Work Site Evaluation?
A work site evaluation is an evaluation of a client/patient’s work/vocational environment. Similar to a home evaluation, a work site evaluation is intended to determine which aspects of a client’s job tasks are able to be completed given his or her physical, cognitive, and/or emotional ailments invoking the need for the evaluation. Furthermore, the goal of this evaluation is to determine if there are reasonable modifications an employer can make to ensure the client is able to return to work safely while he or she may still be recovering from a trauma or injury.
Who benefits from a Work Site Evaluation?
Anyone looking to return to work after an injury. By ensuring a client is able to return to work safely and with accommodation, the employer is no longer required to pay unemployment wages to the client, nor are they required to pay someone else to complete a client’s job tasks. The client is able to return to meaningful employment which often times promotes one’s sense of self, purpose, and overall outlook on his or her recovery. Allowing clients to return to work in an accommodated form seems to be a “win-win” for all involved!
What do I need to do to schedule a Work Site Evaluation?
As with any of the specialty evaluations, a prescription from the client’s doctor is required for these services. Call today!
